Eric and I arrived in Tampa on Friday and have been soaking up every minute of our visit. Friday night, the entire family went to a VERY nice restaurant for dinner (thanks again, Jerry!) and had hours of conversation and laughter. It was perfect (yes, PERFECT, even though we had a reservation and STILL had to wait over an hour to be seated!).
Saturday morning, Mom, Eric and I hit the mall early for some power shopping. We completed about 80% of our Christmas lists before we hit our tolerance threshold. We stopped at Publix and bought sides for a delicious steak dinner. We all pitched in to get the house and tree decorated - didn't take long at all and it looks so festive! I spent the rest of the evening boxing up all the gifts to be ready for wrapping and the rest of the family played euchre until Jason went home. Then we played a round of Trivial Pursuit. Another fantastic day of family fun!
Yesterday, Mom made pancakes to fuel us for our final trip to the mall. Being the shopping experts we are, we had our final purchases made in record time - home for lunch! We spent the rest of the day playing cards/games and I finished wrapping the presents and put them under the tree while we watched "Elf" - one of my FAVORITE Christmas movies.
This morning, Eric and I are heading to Fort Myers and will see the Grandparents for lunch, cards and LOTS and LOTS of hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
