Weekend

It was wonderful to spend some time with Vanessa, Patrick, Flynn, Suzanne, Jim, Doug, Brian, Nikki, and their assorted friends the past couple days. Flynn knows exactly how old he is, and was thrilled by people singing "Happy Birthday" and blowing out candles. Still a novelty, I guess. Got to fly my Macaw kite yesterday along Lake Michigan. The wind did all the work, and it pulled valiantly to stay up.

Joni was gracious enough to order my washer/dryer combo for the last appliance needed in my Jackson house. It's a stackable, apartment size, and the best option for the space.

Turning a negative into a positive, a lesson learned via Eric and Joni's challenge is cover all your bases, all the time, taking no chances with so-called professionals. Asking for names of all contacts, keeping records, getting supervisor's approvals, is still no guarantee of a fair fight, yet can make one feel less helpless. There are ways of salvaging bad credit.

Suzanne is struggling in this economy as well, so my thoughts and prayers go out to all family and friends in their times of need.
